For years, Naomi saw a lot of problem horses, and she fought with them to try and get them over their issues. While she was successful, she often felt like something was missing.
When Naomi discovered biomechanics, it changed how she trains and looks at things. "I now realize that many of the issues I was working on were pain issues caused by bad biomechanics," Naomi explains.
Naomi had discovered that pain is generally the main issue that causes training problems. Everything else is learning a skill. Her newly developed rehabilitation program is designed for the horse that has a physical issue that needs to be sorted out during a training program or a horse that needs its body built up before it enters a training program.
This program is custom designed based on the individual horse's needs and varies between 1-3 months. The program encompasses correct posture training, emotional release work and bodywork. Additionally, corrective farrier and vet needs will be evaluated to ensure no pain and adjust diet changes- as needed.
During this rehab process, Naomi will address the pain and emotional issues causing the behavioral problems. As the horse allows, she will tailor each program to fit the training progress and process that the horse needs according to the owner's goals.
"I love helping horses feel better so they can do their jobs better and be more comfortable," Naomi shares. "This is what I love to do, and I want to share that with others and help people and their horses."
***horses will only be accepted for this program on a case-by-case basis as the success of this program very much relies on owner support***
