Performance Training
"I love the precision in reining," Naomi shares. "No other equine sport demands a horse to perform at high speeds and respond to their rider at a precise moment, transitioning from a full gallop down to a sliding stop or spinning on a dime."
Performance horses compete in a variety of events. No matter which direction you are looking to take your performance horse, incorporating precision, accuracy, and responsiveness into your horse's training program will prepare them for any activity involving walking, trotting, cantering, running, and turning.
"I want my horses to be light and actively listening to me," Naomi explains. "When horse and rider actively listen to each other, we can develop top-notch performance horses. This approach to performance horse training also means being in tune with the horse's emotions. I place a heavy emphasis in all my training programs on respecting the horse's emotions."
By incorporating emotional intelligence into her training programs, Naomi develops a willing partner who is eager to learn and enjoys the training relationship.
