Biomechanics and Self Awareness

This clinic will cover the start of biomechanics for your horse and bodily self awareness for the handler.

As a horse owner, we need to learn how to help our horses relax and use proper posture when working and being handled. This promotes wellness and relaxation in our horses. This also helps our training become easier as we are not trying to force the horse into a certain posture or frame.

Self awareness come from slowing things down and helping ourselves as human beings, know what our bodies are doing and how we are breathing when we are handling our horses. This keeps us from becoming in sync with our horses as when we don’t even know where our own bodies are, how can we convey present direction to our horses.
